Ad budget drains with no results: fix tracking and landing first
Spend charts look full, CRM is empty — a three-layer audit checklist.

Green ticks, spend charts and clicks look healthy — but CRM shows no sales. For hotels, clinics and e-commerce clients in Antalya this pattern usually traces to broken conversion tracking, weak landings or wrong optimisation targets. Paid ads management should fix those layers before scaling budget.
Spend without conversions: validate measurement first
Even when Google Ads and Meta label events as sales or leads, GA4 or pixel double-counting, wrong events or delayed imports can mislead the UI. Run live firing tests in Tag Assistant and Meta Events Manager.
Without conversion value, Smart Bidding piles budget onto random clicks. E-commerce needs transaction_id and value on purchase; lead gen needs CRM feedback loops.
- Tag Assistant on real form/order
- GA4 DebugView and Ads match rate
- Double counting events
- Primary vs secondary conversions
Landing and offer alignment
If the ad promises a free consultation but the landing opens a price list, bounce rises. The web and landing page must repeat the promise above the fold.
One URL for all campaigns kills A/B testing. Use separate URLs for search, remarketing and prospecting per our landing kills ads guide.
Campaign structure and bidding goals
A single Performance Max or broad Advantage+ campaign can burn budget fast; split Search/Shopping from prospecting. On new accounts prefer manual CPC or tCPA until learning data exists.
Mixed Antalya + national geo inflates CPC. Local businesses should tighten radius and language; national brands need separate campaigns.
- Brand vs non-brand split
- Prospecting / remarketing share
- ~30 conversions before tCPA
- Weekly placement report
Quality signals and creative
Low CTR with high spend signals creative fatigue; test at least one new image or copy variant weekly. Scale winners, retire losers.
Low Quality Score means fix page experience first — bid increases only hide the problem. See creative fatigue for rotation calendars.
Reporting: what counts as a result?
If agency reports are full of clicks while you count sales, trust breaks. Weekly tables need spend, qualified leads/sales, CPL/CPA and ROAS from Ads + CRM.
Last-click under-reports upper-funnel campaigns; add blended ROAS and 7/28-day cohorts per our attribution chaos article.
Antalya example: seasonal budget
May–September tourism peaks can double CPC. Pre-season grow remarketing lists and defend brand search.
Collect learning data in low season; reserve winter test budget for summer scale per Antalya tourism season ads.
Budget vanishing without results is usually measurement and landing failure — bid hikes only hide it.
